WANT TO SEE A CUSTOMIZED .700 CALIBER ‘DINOSAUR HUNTING’ RIFLE IN ACTION?

Elephant guns have been around since the 19th century, but this hand-held Howitzer takes high caliber rifles to another level.

Introducing the .700 Caliber, “Dinosaur Hunting WTF” rifle. A member of the Cast Boolits firearms forums posted photos and video of this weapon and cartridges he built from scratch.

Everything you see below is customized craftsmanship, except the barrel.

The cartridge is named the .700 WTF (”What The F…”)  and was made by “fire-forming a .50 BMG brass case, trimming it to 3 inches in length and then sizing it. The round is loaded with a 1132 grain paper patched .700 lead cast bullet.” According to Firearm Blog, the rifle has a “16.25″ barrel, can push the 1132 grain of lead up to 2300 fps. Thats 13,000 ft/lbs of energy, right up there with the .50 BMG and far exceeding the .700 Nitro Express. The cast lead bullet has enough energy to pass clean through a 1/4″ steel plate. When a Tyrannosaurs Rex rampages through your neighborhood, this would seem to be the perfect tool for the job. You can watch video of the .700 “WTF” put some rounds down range here, via Youtube:

    Ladies and Gentlemen this article was from TheBlaze.com I read this while I was waiting for class to start after I read this I just couldn’t believe it. This man built everything the weapon all the way down to the ammunition the very powerful .700 WTF. In my opinion this is next evolution in long distance shooting. I can only pray that this intelligent American patents and trademarks everything because we just found the competition for the Barrett .50 sniper weapon system.

    If you watch the video you’ll notice the recoil on the weapon. It looks like it has been properly compensated with the large arrowhead compensator on it. Another thing you what to look at is the overall length from the picture and the video it seems to be about as long as the M-16A4 rifle. But, the real thing I believe everyone is looking at is the overall powerful round that has to be let out to cause non-stop pain on whoever or whatever is on the receiving end of that massive 1132 grain bullet.

    The fact that this bullet can travel 2300 fps and hit with a mind shattering 13,000 ft/lb of energy and can punch through a ¼ inch of steel with lazer-like penetration is crazy but a good crazy this is what I’m talking about when it comes to “made in the U.S.A.” Ingenuity and initiative is all it took for this man to step up the “weapons game” to a whole new level. I would love to see what else this guy comes up with. I hope he creates a semi-auto because if that gets developed that rifle will be seeing a sniper in the near future.
